William Gibson, the man behind The Miracle Worker, passed away on Tuesday. He was 94; the obituary in the Globe and Mail is better than anything I might write.
The Miracle Worker debuted in broadcast form in 1957 under the title Playhouse 90. It debuted on Broadway in 1959 and became a film in 1962. It has seen countless productions since and can certainly be considered a classic.
